J Crew Eyelet Top
The thing I especially love about this top, besides how comfortable it is, is how versatile it is. I’ve worn this shirt for both work and on the weekends, and I think it works great either way. The gray color works with a lot of bottoms, but this top comes in several colors. I may be considering getting another one…
I’ve talked about these jeans before and I’m just not over them. I know white pants are nothing new, but this is the first time I’ve worn them. They feel a little more put together than your average jeans, while still being casual if that’s the look you’re going for.
Straw bags have been everywhere and they are just so cute. I’m the type that if I can find something that’s trendy in a slightly different style, that’s what I’m going for. This LC Lauren Conrad bag fit the bill with the colorful elements. I also have this bag on its way to me, and the pom poms and dots were just too cute to pass up.
Hair accessories are definitely on trend and I’m not complaining. I actually accidentally bought these pearl clips and I’m glad I did. You might be wondering, “how does one accidentally buy something?”. Well I was on a spending ban at the beginning of the month and ended up perusing pearl hair clips on the amazon app. Somehow I accidentally hit “buy now” versus “add to cart” and it wasn’t until I saw the confirmation email the next day that I even realized I had made the purchase. At least it was only 7 dollars (actually right now, they’re only 4.99!).
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Cherry Blossom
If you saw my latest makeup post, then you’ve seen this lip color on. It’s been my most worn lip product this month, which is saying a lot because I like to switch things up pretty often. For a liquid lipstick, I find this to be pretty smooth and easy to apply. I also love this shade, but if bright pinks aren’t your thing there are tons of colors to choose from. The only downside is it can be a little drying. I always prep my lips with a little bit of lip balm no matter what lip product I’m wearing, so this does help.
If you follow me on instagram then you probably already know I loved the live-action Aladdin. I went into the movie a bit unsure. I loved Aladdin as a kid, and so far the Disney live-actions have pretty much all disappointed me. This one was so well done though! From the acting to the songs to the costumes, it was exactly what a live-action retelling should be. In addition, I think the new parts that were added really enhanced the story, whereas with other live-action remakes *cough* Beauty and the Beast *cough* the new scenes took me out of the story. If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely do. Its well worth it and really fun!
What have you loved during the month of May? I’m always looking for new cool things so let me know!
