Every once in a while I like to update you all on makeup products that are new to my makeup collection or are the products I’ve been reaching for the most. It’s been a while (like over a year!) since I’ve done one of these posts, and I have some items I’ve really been loving lately. Let’s get into it!

Colourpop Frozen 2 Elsa Eyeshadow Palette
I was drawn back into the Frozen 2 Elsa palette (which I got almost a year ago, crazy!) mostly because of the two shades that have always been my favorite. I love doing a simple eye look using the shade Fire in the crease and Northern Lights all over the lid. Northern Lights is just the prettiest shimmering eyeshadow, and these colors just blend so nicely together.
In the photo above, these are the two shades you can see in the top row of the palette.
The Balm Mad Lash Mascara
I added a few products from The Balm to my makeup collection recently, and I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve tried from the brand – they even reposted one of my photos on instagram!
If you’ve heard me talk about makeup before then you might know I prefer waterproof mascaras to regular. Most non-waterproof mascaras make my lashes droop even after taking the time to diligently curl them.
Mad Lash, however, seems to be one of the only non-waterproof mascaras that will hold a curl. I also love that it makes my lashes look fluttery and is easy to remove.
Essence Lash Princess Mascara
As far as a waterproof mascara goes, Essence Lash Princess has been great.
Lash Princess claims to give a false lash effect, and it does give a very thick lash look with a good amount of length. This is one of those mascaras you have to be careful while applying because it is easy to smudge onto the eyelid. Though, that is something I find true with a lot of volumizing mascaras.
This also is available in a non-waterproof formula, I just haven’t personally tried it.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
Another favorite from The Balm! Mary-Lou Manizer might be my favorite highlighter that I’ve ever tried. It’s more than a subtle lit from within glow, but it’s also not a blinding highlight. It falls somewhere in the middle and I find that perfect. It’s also a champagne tone, which I think would work well for a lot of skin tones.
Glossier Boy Brow
Boy Brow is such a cult favorite product. I tried this a while ago and have proceeded to go back and forth with this and the super cheap elf brow kit that I also love. I’ve been into Boy Brow lately because for me it’s an easy one and done product. My brows are fairly full, so it does the job of making them look filled in and set in place. If your brows are more sparse you will probably need to use a pencil to fill them in first.
I have the shade Brown.
Elf 16-HR Camo Concealer
I’ve heard Elf’s concealer is a dupe for Tarte’s Shapetape. I think I might be the only person who hasn’t tried that concealer. This is one of those concealers that is thick and long lasting. It will cover the deepest under eye circles and any blemishes. And it’s 6 dollars!
I use the shade Fair Beige.
Trixie Cosmetics Lipstick in Stacy’s Mom
I first found out about Trixie Cosmetics after discovering Trixie Mattel’s YouTube channel when I became obsessed with Rupaul’s Drag Race over quarantine. Trixie’s line is small at the moment, however the products available are really fun, and cruelty free and vegan.
I got drawn in by the bright pink shade of lipstick called Stacy’s Mom. It’s probably not the most fall/winter color, but I love pastels and fun shades year round. The lipstick is very comfortable on the lips and looks amazing with glosses layered over it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Blue Hawaii
Case in point to lipgloss looking great with Stacy’s Mom: Anastasia Beverly Hills lipgloss in Blue Hawaii. This combo makes me feel like I’m channeling my junior high self, and I don’t hate it. The gloss is a blue shimmer, yet its sheer so it won’t actually turn your lips blue.
Blue Hawaii seems to only be available directly from the ABH website, however, this shade is more accessible and I think would give a similar effect.
Now I want to know what you’ve been loving! What products have you been reaching for in your makeup collection?
