Hey all and happy Monday! I usually don’t post my goals post this late, but this past week kind of got away from me. My plan was to have this post up Friday but right before I went to bed Thursday night I realized I had nothing written! Oh well, sometimes you need a night or two to veg out after work and watch YouTube and the new Sabrina.
Anyway it’s that time of the month where I share a recap of how last month went and share my goals for this month. Here we go!
(By the way, I can’t completely decide how I feel about Sabrina. Have you seen it? What do you think?)

October Goals
Blogtober: I knew this was going to be a lofty goal to begin with. Instead of posting everyday in October, my goal was to try to post every weekday (which was 23 days of the month). But, because I didn’t want to sacrifice good content, I didn’t want to force myself to write something if I didn’t have something to say that day. So I made my official goal at least 15 posts for the month (by the way, is this confusing enough?).
Well I only posted seven times this month. However, I’m still counting this as an accomplishment because I pretty much got back to the posting twice a week schedule that I originally planned for the blog (except last week, see above).
Increase blog traffic: Technically I did this. I beat my highest traffic month by about 15 views, so it wasn’t a significant success, but it was still a success. I had a couple of days in October where I got around 50 page views a day which is a lot for me (this blog is definitely still a baby). This post seemed to be really popular this month, so I guess you guys like reading about makeup.
I also moved on from the free version of Tailwind for Pinterest to using the premium version. Honestly, I didn’t utilize it tons but I guess it helped. I’m still trying to figure out if I like it. I just worry it could make me look spammy but I know tons of bloggers use it and swear by it.
Take better care of myself (makeup, dressing up, my overall health): This was sort of successful. I feel like I had more days where I put a little more effort into the outfits I wore to work, or put on a little more makeup. I can’t say I did very well with being overall healthier though.
November Goals
Continue to grow traffic and try to diversify blog traffic: I think this one is pretty self explanatory. As far as diversifying my traffic, I’d say 90-95% of my current blog traffic comes from Pinterest. Pinterest is a huge source of traffic for a lot of bloggers, but I’d like to work on getting traffic from other sources. I just don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket, ya know?
Implement a blog schedule: I’m not the best with planning in most aspects of my life. But, I know blog calendars can be super helpful. This would also hopefully help me get a bit ahead with my writing and not have me posting days later than my original plan (see above).
Healthy Habits!!: I recently had my two year anniversary at my job. This job is the most sedentary job I’ve ever had and I feel like my weight and health reflects that. I really need to get serious about taking better care of myself. I currently work out twice a week so I want to keep that up. My diet is not great so I want to work on eating less fast food/take out and cook more meals myself. Also, I want to work on drinking less soda and finding healthier snacks for myself.
Mental health is super important too, and I used to journal more. I think it would be a good habit to try to get back into.
Also! If you have any suggestions for me for healthy eating (meals, blogs, youtubers, whatever!) let me know. I basically feel like when I eat healthy I essentially eat like a healthy five year old because I can be a bit picky.
I’ve also got a couple of other projects I’m working on for the blog. I’m hoping to get a good amount done with them this month, but right now I’m going to keep them secret.
So those are my goals! What are you working on this month?

i love how honest and transparent you are each month with these goal posts! i definitely have a few goals in common with you this month, and if you ever need help with scheduling out your blog let me know 🙂 xx
Thank you so much!
I started watching Sabrina the other day and I only got halfway through the first episode. I’m not sure how I feel about it either! I think I need to try again before I make my mind up but I’m not completely sold on it anymore 🙁
I love how you’ve set all your goals out and detailed your journey with them over the month. I think this is something I need to do to hold myself accountable. Heck, I think you’ve just inspired a blog post from me – I’ll be sure to link you when it goes live! Big kudos on even considering the Blogtober thing – I’ve always thought anyone who manages to do that (and keep quality content) is somewhat of a robot/superhero.
I’m on a bit of a health kick at the moment and have been looking for health-oriented blogs. I’ve managed to find two – Skinny Taste and Eat Yourself Skinny. I’m not a huuuuuge fan of their blog names, but their recipes and meal plans are straight fire. They have a lot of good alternatives for the traditional comfort food and even some things I’ve never heard of before!
I found your blog through a Facebook group but you definitely have a new follower in me – can’t wait to see more!
xo, Victoria
Thank you so much!
I think I got 4 or 5 episodes into Sabrina before I stopped. It’s just… dark. Like I knew it was going to be but I think it’s more than I expected. Still I’ll probably finish it eventually.
I very much think in a monthly format so setting goals like this really works for me. Hopefully it works for you too!
I’ll definitely have to check out those blogs. I’m always trying to figure out new meals to try because I tend to eat a lot of the same stuff.
