June Recap and July Goals

Sharing is caring!

Hey friends. The blog is officially a month old!  I’ve worked so hard on it and its been an exciting, overwhelming, stressful, fun adventure! I can’t wait to see how it grows and develops over the next few months.

Some of the links below are affiliates. So if you make a purchase using my link, I’ll receive a small commission at no cost to you.

One thing I wanted to share on this blog was a goals series. I remember I used to see a lot of my favorite bloggers sharing their goals for the month and checking in on what happened last month. Since I didn’t really set June goals (at least on here),

Here’s what happened in June…

I started the blog and discussed the idea of living your best life on a budget.

I shared money tips on crazy easy saving techniques and my simple budget.

I discussed style, traveling to my favorite place, and how to prep for my favorite holiday (the 4th of July!).

June blog recap and how I'm setting goals for July.

My goals for July

Blog Goals

Increase my page views. I got just over 400 page views this month, which I think is great – I think its obvious that more than just my mom is reading this. I’d like to get at least 1000 in July.

2 posts per week. I managed this for all of June, except the very last week. This week was a crazy one for me, and had I prewritten some posts it wouldn’t have been a problem. But I only had time to write one post so that’s what I did.

On that note, develop more of a blogging schedule and write more than a day or two ahead of time.

Increase my Instagram following. I’ve had Instagram since it was pretty new (I think my page goes back to 2012) but I can’t say I really started to utilize it until last year. I’ve grown a lot just since the beginning of the year, going from 300+ followers to almost 900. I’m proud of this and hope to continue to grow it, as I feel like its a mini blog itself. I’d like to try to hit 1000 followers this month.

Life goals

Continue to work on the bedroom makeover. I managed to get a bag of clothes to the thrift store but I really need to continue on the decluttering. I’ve got a pretty clear vision for what I want design wise, I just need to get to the point when I can actually implement it. I also ordered a shelf. I know where I want it to go and what I want to put on it but again, I need to get some of the mess gone before I can hang it.

Less candy more vegetables. This one’s pretty self explanatory. I know its better to have goals with more tangible numbers, and while I could quantify this, I’m not really sure what’s realistic. Basically I eat too much candy most days, and I get maybe one vegetable serving a day (if that), so I just want to improve these numbers.

Workout twice a week. I used to always get to the gym two or three times a week but for the last year or so I’ve been lucky to make it once a week. So I’m going to try to go twice a week. It should be easy this week because I’m only working today and tomorrow, but I’ll have to really try to make it happen the rest of the month.

Have a great 4th of July. Its my favorite holiday so I’m hoping for a good one!

What are your goals for the month? Let me know and we can keep each other on track!
