It’s hard to believe we are a month into 2021. So far the world unfortunately feels pretty similar to 2020, however, it seems like there is hope on the horizon.

Even though this wasn’t the best month, there were little things that made it better. Sometimes a great makeup product or a pretty book can be just enough to add a little joy to your day. Here were my favorite things during the month of January.

Beauty Favorites

Maybelline Sky High Mascara

This has become one of my top favorite mascaras. It gives amazing length and a bit of volume. When I wear it I feel like I have lash extensions!

Elf Wow Brow

This 4 dollar brow gel has replaced the Glossier Boy Brow as my favorite way to do my brows. It looks and feels so natural when it’s on, but still does a good job of fluffing my brows and adding a touch of tint.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I was never that big of a dry shampoo user prior to 2020. I’d keep some on hand just in case, but it was never something I reached for regularly. And because of that I never really developed a favorite. Enter Batiste. It is one of the cheaper options out there and I find it works the best even compared to some higher end options.

Fashion Favorite

Keds Boots

Keds is a brand I’ve always thought of as just lightweight sneakers, but they have so much more, like boots! I’ve been in love with these boots because they really have protected my feet well in not so nice January weather. I have to admit I bought them because of the color, but they really have been a great staple for me (also right now they are on a huge sale!).

Home Favorites

Beautiful

I think its well known that I love a good coffee table book. I purchased this book a few months back and revisited it this month. It is such a beautiful book, no pun intended, and gives me so much inspiration for decorating my own home. I think I will have to pick up the “sequel” More Beautiful soon!

Wedgewood Jasperware

Jasperware pieces are vintage ceramics. They can be anything from teacups, to candle holders, to small trinket boxes. They have a rich color and typically a design in white fashioned around Ancient Greece. I found my little trinket dish on Etsy back in December, and I’ve loved the charm it’s brought to my bedroom. It adds a grandmillennial touch and the Wedgewood blue color is gorgeous!

Television Favorites

Fate The Winx Saga

I didn’t know anything about this show until I went to Netflix and the trailer popped up. The show is about a magical school for fairies and the secrets of the past that come up because of two new students. I really liked the show, and it moved fast, but there are a few things that I wish were explained better. Maybe that will come in season 2.

Wandavision

I don’t even know what to say about this show because I don’t want to spoil anything. Just watch it. It’s so good.
