Friday Links

Happy Friday and happy August! Are you happy it’s August? I’m kind of indifferent. Even though I work at a school it’s a year round job, so August just means more faces on campus. I know for parents this time can be stressful and great. Back to school shopping can be expensive, but I know a lot of moms are happy when the kids finally go back.

Anyway, I wanted to start regularly sharing some things from around the web that I find interesting. I know this is something a lot of bloggers do, but I always enjoy seeing what others share. Hopefully you’ll like what I have for you too!

If you’re heading back to college check out my college advice tips. It’s from last year, but I’ve updated my dorm recommendations for some really adorable stuff available right now!

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is just about over and you may have noticed I didn’t post anything about it. This post pretty much got how I was feeling about it.

Sometimes outfit posts can be the easiest for me to put together (just take a picture of what I’m wearing!) so they’re good if I’m experiencing a bit of writers block. But in reality they can be kind of boring. I think Paige’s post explains this well.

My friend and I saw the live-action Lion King a couple of weeks ago (it was pretty great) and got into a discussion about what happened to Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Apparently we aren’t the only ones who have wondered.

I was a little annoyed that Netflix continued 13 Reasons Why after the first season, seeing as the show could have just been done there. I did watch season 2, and now that the season 3 trailer has been released, I’m going to have to watch that too.

These kind of blog posts are always my favorite! I agree with a lot of what the Nordstrom Anniversary sale post says. It can get a bit overwhelming as a reader to see so many of those posts at once. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Of course! I always love your content! To me, the second season felt a little forced, but judging by the trailer for season 3, I think the storyline should be interesting.

I find that round up posts are the best way to find new things out on the Internet – especially since I feel recommendations from other bloggers a bit more seriously? And I agree that outfit posts can be a little uninteresting to read – I like when they’re integrated with another topic or a story time about the outfit so it doesn’t feel *all* about the outfit. There’s so many ways to be creative! x

Yes I enjoy reading those type of posts so much more than someone just talking about what they are wearing.
