Fall Bucket List for an Intentional Season

I’ve found that the more intentional I am, and the more I try to create lovely moments, the happier I tend to be. That’s something I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older: you have to create moments for yourself, and create moments that bring joy. I feel like a cheesy motivational speaker right now, but it really is true. When you’re going through a time in your life that’s not so great (all of us in 2020) having something to look forward to can really have a positive impact.

So because of all of that I decided to start making seasonal “bucket lists” of sort. Just some fun things that I want to intentionally incorporate into my life. I chose to make this seasonal, rather than monthly or yearly, because there seems to always be things that are associated only with one season, and I think it’s enough time to actually accomplish the list, without being too much time that I forget about it.

Here’s what I would like to do this fall…

Fall Bucket List

Take in the foliage – I don’t know that I’ll go apple or pumpkin picking (honestly I haven’t in years) but I wouldn’t mind going on a beautiful fall hike or even just spending some time in a pretty park.

Make a fall meal or snack – I saw someone on YouTube making an oatmeal with cinnamon apples and pecans and I thought that sounded so good, and very fall appropriate.

Find apple cider doughnuts! I always see people with these in the fall (usually on social media) but I’ve never tried them myself.

Watch some spooky (not scary) movies and tv shows – thinking about compiling a list of these if you all are interested!

Emily, this is such a great fall bucket list! I don’t generally make bucket lists either but now you have inspired me! I do want to visit a pumpkin patch and an apple orchard this year with my kids. And I love all the fall flavors and aromas and movies as well! I hope you find apple cider donuts soon because they really do live up to all the hype! Such a fun post. Thanks for linking up with me!

I love Autumn! This is a great bucket list, I’ll definitely be taking walks in nature and watching spooky films. I’ve never tried apple cider doughnuts either, but they sound delicious and now I want them too!
