Last summer Euphoria debuted, and after hearing some hype about it, I decided to check it out. The show is edgy, even disturbing at times, but it is so well acted and produced. It’s not at all what my high school experience was like, but that’s not to say I couldn’t relate to the feelings and emotions of being a teenage girl.
One thing many have noticed about Euphoria is the creativity of the makeup team. In fact, they were just nominated for an Emmy.
Euphoria opened a door to what is possible with makeup. Not that people weren’t being creative with makeup already, but the show brought this creativity to the mainstream.
When it comes to makeup from Euphoria, I think most people think of the glitter tears. That look is unreal, and there are so many other amazing looks. Today I’m rounding up some of my favorite products if you want to get the Euphoria makeup look yourself.
I sometimes use affiliate links on Thoroughly Contemporary. That means if you make a purchase through one of these links I make a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Colorful eye looks are a huge part of the show. The characters are seen wearing various eyeshadow colors as well as graphic eyeliner looks.
So many lines have started creating rainbow eyeshadow palettes and colorful eyeliner. I’ve been really impressed with the quality and price of ELF and Colourpop shadows, and I’ve read that some Colourpop was even used on the show.
The show is known for its glitter tears looks but if you’re not feeling that bold, adding glitter to your lid can still give a Euphoria effect.
Rhinestones are also heavily featured on the show. If you’re feeling bold try your hand at Maddie’s rhinestone eyeliner by glueing on rhinestones with eyelash glue.
Lips are usually subtle in contrast to the creative eye looks. Think nude tones, mauves, and clear gloss.
