Princess Jasmine Makeup Look

Princess Jasmine Makeup

Aladdin was one of my favorite Disney movies growing up, and I just loved Princess Jasmine. I feel like she was one of the first of the stronger Disney princesses. Although she’s not the main character, you can’t deny her strength and smarts.

I actually had the idea to do Disney inspired makeup quite a while ago (I think I had planned to do it for my old blog) but I never got around to creating any looks. I knew I wanted to do some type of post in honor of the live action Aladdin so this seemed like the perfect time for a Disney look!

Side note: I really hope this movie is good. I haven’t been very impressed with a lot of the other Disney live action movies as of late, so I hope this one is better.

Anyway, here’s what I did.

The Look

Because this is a bit of a dramatic eye, starting with the eyes works well in case there is fallout. I did conceal under my eye with both the brightener and my regular concealer. Before starting prime your eye lids to make sure the look stays put.

Start with a shimmery cream color on the inner corners of your eyes. You can also apply this as a brow bone highlight.

For the lid apply a golden beige shade. If you have the Beached palette I found applying this shade (Blaze) with my finger worked best to pack on the color. I used 16th Street (an orange toned bronze shade) in my crease.

To add some impact, and really make this a Jasmine look, add a turquoise shadow to your lower lash line. And I can’t forget a little cat-eye. I feel like this throws it back to the original Jasmine.

To finish the eyes add some black mascara. If you want to make the look more dramatic, you can add false lashes too!

For the face, I did pretty much my usual makeup, so you can really do this however you like. For me it was foundation, concealer, and loose powder. I used bronzer to do a light contour, used a pinky blush for a princess look, and added a shimmery highlight.

I decided to do a brighter pink lip. If it’s not your thing you could definitely opt for a nude or pale pink shade. I went with the brighter shade of pink because of photos I’ve seen of the live action movie with Jasmine wearing a bright pink outfit. And with that the makeup is complete!

This look was so fun to put together and would be perfect for wearing to see the new live action Aladdin or doing a Jasmine Disneybound. Let me know if you try it out, and if there’s another Disney character you’d like to see a look of, let me know that too!
