20 Random Facts About Me.

Sharing is caring!

Hey everyone! I was recently tagged by Hannah from the blog Millennial Talks to do the 20 Random Facts About Me tag. If you haven’t checked out Hannah’s blog you definitely should. She’s got great tips about blogging, making money, and other lifestyle areas.  Check her out and I hope you enjoy this post!

1. When was the last time you cried?

I’m not totally sure. I used to cry all the time, but now it’s pretty rare. I remember crying from feeling pretty overwhelmed with things, but I don’t remember when it was. So I’ll just say months ago.

2. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

I think so. I’ve actually said before that I’d like to marry the male version of myself, so I would think I’d be friends with me too.

3. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

No, never (see what I did there).

4. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

This one is really hard for me because I feel like I can be oblivious at times. Like I probably couldn’t tell you any of my coworkers’ eye colors. So I guess kind of their overall appearance? I know I definitely notice outfits. Yeah, I’d say the first thing is what they’re wearing.

5. Scary movie or happy endings?

Definitely happy! I’ve never been a scary movie person. It took me forever to watch Stranger Things because I thought it was going to be super scary, but now it’s one of my favorite shows.

6. Favorite smells?

I love Daisy Dream perfume by Marc Jacobs. I also love the smell of the Confectionary on Main Street in Disney World. If you’ve been there, you know.

7. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been away from home?

Either Orlando, FL or Houston, TX. I’m not sure which is further away!

8. Do you have any special talents?

I’m a little bit double jointed in my wrist, I know the Greek alphabet, I can tell you so much useless pop culture trivia.

9. Where were you born?

St. Louis! And I still live in the area.

10. What are your hobbies?

Blogging, shopping (does that count?), scrapbooking, obsessing over my latest show/movie/audiobook.

11. What did you want to be when you were growing up?

The first things I really remember wanting to be was a teacher or a ballet dancer. I spent a lot of my childhood in school or dance class, so this makes sense. At one point it became psychologist and this stuck. I went to school to become a counselor and worked in mental health for a few years until I made the switch to higher education, which is what I do now!

12. How many countries have you ever been to?

Just the U.S. I do have a passport though, so if you know of any great, cheap international travel ideas, let me know!

13. What was your favorite and worst subject at school?

In junior high and high school I really liked my history/government/politics classes. Once I got to college my psychology and sociology classes were my favorites (my major and minor). I liked math a lot when I was younger because I was good at it. I’ve never been much of a fan of science classes and this was especially true when I took physics in high school. I just couldn’t get it!

14. What is your favorite drink?

Coca-cola. I could drink nothing but Coke for the rest of my life. I don’t think my waist or my kidneys would like that much though.

15. What would you (or have you) named your kids?

I’m pretty secretive about the names I like, and of course, this would also depend on my future husband too. I actually have two girls names, both a first and middle name that I like. Apparently I like a lot of names that start with the letter C. I’m not sure about a first name for a boy, but I always wanted the middle name to be Michael after my dad (who passed away when I was little).

16. Who are your favorite YouTubers?

I watch a lot of YouTubers in a lot of different genres, but the one whose videos I never get sick of, and whose videos I’ve shared with friends, is Jenna Marbles. I’ve watched her for years now and I think she is so hilarious. She also has three adorable dogs who make frequent appearances.

17. How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had?

Well technically only one. I’ve dated other guys, even for extended periods, but never was officially “boyfriend-girlfriend”.

18. Favorite memory from childhood?

It’s hard to pick just one specific thing. I had so much fun with dance as a child. I loved going to dance class, participating in recitals and competitions, and even choreographing my own little dances after school.

19. How would you describe your fashion sense?

Also a tough one! I’d say my style is quite girly, but I like to be comfortable too. I think I once described my style as “Cute but Casual”. I feel like my style is evolving a bit, and I’ve been drawn to things more on the sophisticated side. So I guess we’ll see!

I think this is a good example of my style.

20. Tell us one of your bad habits?

I’m pretty disorganized. I’ve talked about my bedroom before and my desk at work is always cluttered with papers. I’m also not the best at managing my schedule. I’m working on trying to find some sort of planning system that works for me because #adulting.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know a little more about me (and if you made it through this you are a champ!). Don’t forget to check out Hannah’s 20 Random Things post too!
